082 How To Remove Tech Even If You Are A Techie
How do you remove the tech even if you’re a techie (like myself)?
The way you do it is you remove all barriers and you get down to the essence of what you want to do.
For example, recently I’ve been launching a product and there’s some tech that I’m new to and I wanted to do an upsell and I couldn’t figure out how to make it work on the product. I needed to get it launched, so what I did is I removed that upsell option and I will add it to the Email option later on.
I can either manually email them or I’ll use my autoresponder, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it in the tech. And it’s really important when you concentrate on what your goals are to put the priorities.
So, for example, my goal was to get the product out no matter what on that deadline. If I could figure out how to do it with the things that I wanted to do. I needed to pull the nice to haves away because, ultimately; I had to get the product launched.
This is the same if you’re technical, and you’re doing a technical project; if you’re creative and you’re doing a creative project; if you’re analytical and you’re doing an analytical project.
Make sure you’re really looking at what you need to get done and don’t let all the other nice-to-haves and bells and whistles get in the way of whatever your clear aim is. I learned that lesson recently.
