090 Your Biz Community Role When Times Are Bad

Welcome to the Kim D Snyder Show. This is episode number 090.
The importance of having a community, especially when things are bad, is very critical to your success.
I ran a mastermind session for business owners and, oddly enough in one particular session, they were all struggling , but in different ways.
-They were struggling with their team.
-They were struggling personally on their mission if they should do what they need to do.
And it was not really a session about bitching about things. It was:
-I’m coming here and being vulnerable” and having that place to do it.
-And having that community to do it.
-And a safe space to do it.
And that’s really, really critical. It also means that you aren’t feeling alone and you want to make sure that you have a place that you belong, and whatever that means for you.
One of my friends posted a video that was really interesting about a place in San Francisco had offered free meals if you got a tattoo. And this is 20 years ago and people are still doing it.
It doesn’t matter how you come together, in a business community, and also for other communities.
And so, you need that community, especially when things are bad. You need a sense to belong, that you’re not alone. You need a sense that you can release and talk about it. And often, talking about is enough to get off your chest and a safe space. And then you’re not taking it back to the real world, or the other environment.
I know that was also one reason I created my mastermind. I love masterminds. I’ve been involved with them for years and I find them very helpful.
