Here are the 5 reasons why I switched from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy over a year ago and am not looking back. The iPhone 4S is pictured on the left and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is on the right.

1.  I wanted a little bigger screen. Since I use my phone for email, texting, watching movies, social media, pictures and reading,  the Galaxy S4 bigger screen is easier to view, type and share.

2.  The Galaxy S4 allows me to move the cursor to the exact place that I have mistyped, instead of having to backspace all the way to the mistake.

3.  The numbers are on the same keypad as the letters for the Galaxy S4.  I find it more convenient to have my most common keys on one keypad; on the iPhone, I had to always bring up the alternative keyboard to get the numbers which caused extra steps and the chances of a mistyping – and as mentioned in #2 above, having to erase the whole word.

4.  I love the ability to replace my own battery and memory on the S4. Because I use my phone constantly through out the day, I would also use up the battery. I also travel frequently, and have the ability to switch out a new battery on those long flights. My iPhone battery didn’t even make it through the whole night without being charged.

5.  The back button on the Galaxy S4 takes me to the previous screen. So if I am in an app, and need to go back to the previous screen, I hit this button (located on the bottom right of my phone).  If I open an app, and need to go back to the main screen, the back button will take me there.  The iPhone round button at the bottom always took me to the main screen.
